Music Producer Benon Mugumbya has said he will not be getting married soon because he cannot not merely rush into settling down just to fulfil a wish.
The celebrity music and events mogul and co-owner of Swangz Avenue is a renowned music producer with his business spanning, artiste management and event production.
Benon says he has been in a couple of relationships and realized sometimes it is better to be alone and happy than being in a relationship where one feels they are lonely.
In a recent interview on a local television station, he said that in the past he chose to put all his mind and dedication to work, a situation that made it difficult for him to balance his business and social life. “Along the way, I lost a number of women who I believe loved me deeply but I never had time to commit myself to any” he said.
He further said that coming from a background marked by financial hardships made him to prioritize money making but he realized it was the wrong decision.
“When you are starting up a business, you are dedicated but the dedication has consequences like not having time for family and I believe that is the price I have paid for my success,” he revealed.
Having succeeded in establishing one of the best record labels in Uganda, he now says he is ready to find a soul mate but the challenge is that he hasn’t found one yet.
“I would love to have kids and also start a family and as a man but it is something I do not want to just tick the box. I have been in a couple of relationships and realized sometimes it is better to be alone and be happy than being in a relationship where you feel you are lonely,” Benon added
