32nd Uganda International Trade Fair Brings Business, Innovation and Entertainment to Lugogo

The 32nd Uganda International Trade Fair is in full swing at the UMA Show Grounds in Lugogo, bringing together businesses, manufacturers, innovators, entrepreneurs and consumers for one of Uganda’s biggest annual trade and business exhibitions.

Running from 2 to 11 October 2026, the trade fair is giving visitors an opportunity to explore locally manufactured products, discover new innovations, connect with businesses and take advantage of special offers across different sectors.

This year’s edition is running under the theme “Formalising Trade to Secure Uganda’s Economic Future,” with a strong focus on strengthening local manufacturing, promoting value addition and creating opportunities for businesses to access wider markets.

Local innovation takes centre stage

One of the major highlights of the ongoing trade fair is the range of local innovations being showcased by Ugandan manufacturers.

Among the products on display are locally manufactured refrigerated trucks designed to support the transportation and preservation of fresh produce, as well as heavy-duty trailers designed to improve the transportation of minerals from mining areas to processing facilities.

The innovations reflect the growing efforts by local manufacturers to develop practical solutions for Uganda’s transport, agriculture and industrial sectors.

The fair is also bringing together exhibitors from sectors including agriculture, food and beverages, manufacturing, construction, textiles, electronics, automobiles, cosmetics, ICT, machinery, education and health.

A marketplace for shoppers and businesses

The trade fair is not only providing a platform for exhibitors to display their products. It is also creating a direct marketplace where consumers can interact with businesses and access special prices.

Factory and trade fair discounts are among the attractions drawing shoppers to the UMA Show Grounds, with thousands of products available across different categories.

The newly introduced Black Deals campaign is also featuring more than 4,000 discounted products, giving consumers an opportunity to shop at special prices while exploring different exhibitors at the fair.

For businesses, the event continues to provide opportunities to meet potential customers, suppliers, distributors and investors, making the trade fair an important networking and market-access platform.

The experience goes beyond business

While business and innovation remain at the heart of the exhibition, the atmosphere at the UMA Show Grounds is also being shaped by entertainment.

The ongoing programme features live music, DJs, dance performances, youth showcases and other activities designed to keep visitors entertained as they explore the exhibition.

Ugandan artists including Feffe Bussi, Bruno K, Acidic Vokoz, Kabako and others are part of the entertainment offering, bringing music and live performances to an event that traditionally attracts thousands of visitors.

The combination of exhibitions, shopping, innovation and entertainment is making the trade fair more than a business exhibition. It is also becoming a social experience where visitors can spend the day discovering products, meeting businesses and enjoying live entertainment.

More to experience before October 11

The 32nd Uganda International Trade Fair is still underway, with several days remaining for visitors to explore the different exhibition spaces and activities at the UMA Show Grounds.

Specialised areas are showcasing sectors such as agriculture, education, health, manufacturing and trade, while visitors can continue to discover new products, meet exhibitors and take advantage of trade fair offers.

The event is open daily from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM and continues until 11 October 2026 at the UMA Show Grounds, Lugogo.

With business, innovation, shopping and entertainment taking place under one roof, the 32nd Uganda International Trade Fair is currently offering visitors a broad look at Uganda’s manufacturing and business landscape while creating a space for businesses and consumers to connect.
