21-Year-Old Remanded Over Murder of Bukoto TikToker
The City Hall Magistrates Court has remanded Patricia Rose Turindwamukama, a 21-year,-old to Luzira prison on charges of murdering former Bukoto Bar Waitress.
On Monday, Turindwamukama , who is described in the police documents as self-employed and a resident of Mukalazi Zone, Bukoto I Parish, Nakawa Division in Kampala on Monday appeared before the Senior Principal Grade One Magistrate Nicholas Aisu the in charge of City Hall Court . She was then charged with murder of her host Jovia Namuwulya and the subsequent aggravated robbery.
The charges were read to her in court and she was told not to say anything about them as they are capital in nature and can only be tried by the High Court which has the jurisdiction.
The prosecution alleges that Turindwamukama, together with another person who is still at large, committed the offences during the night of August 20, 2026, at Mukalazi Zone in Bukoto 1 Parish Nakawa Division in Kampala District.
The prosecution alleges that Turindwamukama and her alleged accomplice, acting with malice aforethought, unlawfully caused the death of Namuwulya. She also faces a charge of aggravated robbery, contrary to Sections 266 and 267(2) of the Penal Code Act, Cap. 128.
Prosecution alleges that during the same incident, the accused and her alleged accomplice robbed Namuwulya of property including an iPhone 12 Pro Max valued at 2 million shillings, a handbag valued at 150,000 shillings, clothes valued at 200,000 shillings and a passport number B00263181.
The charge sheet further alleges that a knife, described as a deadly weapon, was used during the time of the alleged robbery and that Namuwulya was subsequently murdered. State Attorney Mercy Yamangusho has informed the Court that investigations in this case are still ongoing.
Accordingly, the accused has now been remanded to Luzira women wing until September 22, 2026.
Turindwamukama was arrested on August 24th 2026 at her friend’s house in Mbuya, Nakawa Division, four days after the murder of her friend.
Police indicated in their preliminary investigations that Turindwamukama had applied for an Iraqi visa on August 21st 2026.
According to her narration on social media, the accused denied charges of murder, saying that on the fateful night, the duo reportedly slept with a certain man and afterwards the deceased robbed him some cash. She claims the man came to where they were renting hunting for his money and that for her, she ran away, moments after telling the deceased to take back the man’s money in vain.
