A 2025 survey by Rolling Stone Africa Magazine has named Ugandan artiste Joshua Baraka as one of most promising new artistes in Africa.
According to their findings, The 24 year old singer’s talents resonate with many local music fans in Uganda, the neighboring countries and many parts of Africa where African music is consumed plus the diaspora.
Baraka gained widespread recognition two years ago with his viral hit NANA, which propelled him to stardom. His subsequent achievements include nominations for Trace and AFRIMMA awards, touring Europe as the opening act for Bien, collaborations with artists like Joe boy, Ghetts, JAE5, and FAVE, and being named a Spotify Africa Radar artist
