Singer Daudi Mugema Dies from Gulu Hotel Room
Contemporary singer and song writer Daudi Mugema died at a hotel in Gulu Town while waiting to meet General Salim Saleh of the Operation for Wealth Creation.
He died on Tuesday 24th, June, 2025, his death was broken on social media by a team that had accompanied him to meet the General.
The Katonda W’abanaku singer has been battling aggressive cancer and was receiving his medical treatment from Mulago Hospital.
Two years ago, he organized a fundraiser to get funds that would enable him go to Turkey for treatment.
Several Ugandan celebrities and politicians came to his rescue as they contributed money to enable him travel.
Those that contributed towards his cause include Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago, Singer Stabua Natooro, Hon Kyeyune Kasolo, Hajji Haruna Mubiru, Mesach Semakula, Eddy Kenzo, David Lutalo among others.
