BLACK Brings the Heat: Nobantu Vilakazi to Headline Brand’s First-Ever Concert in Uganda

The bold and fast-rising Ugandan lifestyle tech brand, BLACK (www.blacklyf.com), is about to make its loudest statement yet literally in the entertainment industry . On 17th April 2025, the proudly local brand in partnership with tequila brand Don Julio and 2:AM concepts is flying in South African Amapiano sensation Nobantu Vilakazi for its first-ever concert, at Aura Lounge in Kololo.

Known for her electric performances and smash hits like Mageba and Gilikidi, Nobantu will be making her Uganda debut in what promises to be a night of music, culture, and celebration. She will be sharing the stage with homegrown powerhouses DJ Roja and DJ Lito, adding that distinct Ugandan flavor to the night’s energy.

But this is more than just a concert, it’s BLACK making a statement. Since launching, the brand has positioned itself as more than just a consumer electronics company. BLACKLYF is building a culture. With sleek, affordable, and powerful tech from BassBuds to Fit smartwatches the brand is connecting with a generation that wants more than function; they want identity.

“Our brand has always been about more than just selling products,” says a rep from BLACK. “We’re here to uplift, empower, and celebrate talent whether it’s in music, sports, or everyday hustle. This event is about giving people an experience that reflects that spirit.”
And they’re putting their money where their mouth is. BLACK recently made headlines by signing a partnership with Uganda’s rugby powerhouse, the Stanbic Black Pirates, bringing their energy to the sports scene in a big way. In addition, they welcomed Allan Okello, Uganda Cranes forward and fan favorite, as one of their brand ambassadors.
