Bebe Cool has asked Ugandans to support his dream of becoming an Global artiste.
Speaking during a live television interview on Tuesday evening, Bebe Cool said the change in the style of music he is producing is because he wants to make it onto the Global stage where artistes like Diamond Platiinumz, Burna Boy, WizKid or Davido have managed to shine.
“I have traveled to different countries like Nigeria, UK and the USA to look for producers that can enable me produce afro beats music and I have invested lots of money in this album and I believe my album has the potential to make it on a global stage,” he said.
Bebe Cool will be releasing a new album this week on Friday entitled “Break The Chains” The highly anticipated album marks a defining moment in the artist’s evolving sound, blending signature style with fresh Afrobeats influences and raw storytelling.
“What actually is drawing crowds to shows is the new afro beats sound of amapiano and other afro beats sounds mixed with R&B and its the reason why am switching to this type of sound,” he said.
So far, only two tracks — Circumference and Motivation — have been released from the album.
Break The Chains follows the success of Go Mama, which earned Bebe Cool continental nominations, such as the MTV Africa Music Awards, Channel O Awards, and the Kora Awards. One of the singles — Love You Everyday — is Uganda’s most exported song on Spotify, with more than 5.5 million streams and 14 million views on YouTube.
