The Mayanja family will be organizing a thanksgiving service in Lweza on Entebbe road in gratitude to God for the safe return of Joseph Mayanja commonly known as Jose Chameleone.
The prayers are expected to be held on Monday 14th, April, 2025 and will be attended by family members and friends of the singer plus his fans.
The program to hold a thanks service was disclosed by Mr. Gerald Mayanja during a press conference which was held at Nonivie in Kampala following the successful return of Chameleone to Uganda after four months of being under medical treatment in the USA
“ We shall be having a thanksgiving service to thank God for Joseph Mayaja’s safe return to the country. Its a family gathering but everyone is free to attend as we thank God for his safe return,” he said
Chameleone received a heroic welcome by his friends and fans on saturday 12th,April,2024 and later held a procession to Nonivie lounge at Lugogo Forest mall where he talked to the press about his health situation.
“ Thank you for welcoming me to Uganda but I will be going back to USA for routine medical check ups because this health condition requires close monitoring and medication,” he said
He revealed that he was placed on a powerful medicine known as Creone, whose three-month dose costs up to Shs 30 million.
He also pleaded with bloggers and media houses to stop using his health situation to spread fake news
“ Please I beg you to stop doing speculative news about me because I don’t want to be affected by what you say in your media platforms,” he added
Chameleone will be staging a music concert in August, 2025.
