Busega–Mpigi Bypass Project Cost Rises to Shs1.3 Trillion

The Minister for Works and Transport, Fred Byamukama, has disclosed that the costs associated with the Busega-Mpigi Bypass construction project will increase for the third time.

While presenting an update to Parliament’s Physical Infrastructure Committee, chaired by Mwine Mpaka, Byamukama explained that the project’s original budget of Shs547 billion will now escalate to Shs1.3 trillion due to modifications in the road alignment.
