TV series actress Tumusiime Nicole Maimuna, commonly known as Maimo, died mysteriously at her office on Tuesday 22nd, October, 2025.
Media reports indicate that Nicole was found dead in her office at St.Marcelino Primary School, Matugga, where she has been teaching for over 10 years.
Her death was announced by Screen Actors Uganda and other agencies that deal in film production.
According to Kasule Douglas Lwanga, a Ugandan film actor and producer, Nicole participated in many Ugandan-made films, productions and adverts and will be missed by the industry.
She is a child of Mr. Tumusiime Ahmed and Ms. Kyakuwaire Monika and will be missed by many, including her children, the film industry, stakeholders and her school employers, among others.
Mabel Nsubuga, her close friend, said she spoke to Nicole a day before, completely unaware that Nicole was going to die the next day without even falling sick.
“I was chatting with her about something in the film business, not knowing that it was my last time to talk to her. We have lost a sweet lady who was also a great teacher and mother. Fare thee well Nicole. Till we meet again,” she said.
According to the burial program shared by her family on social media, there will be a vigil in Jinja in Kisinja Road near the Malaria Unit on Friday, 24th, October,2025 and the deceased will be laid to rest on Saturday 25th, October in Buwenda Bujagali Road at 4:00pm in Jinja Municipality.
She was one of the actresses in the TV drama called Juniors Drama Club (JDC) , which focused on the lives of primary school students, their families, and teachers.
Nicole was born in 1978 and was 47 years old at the time of her death.
