Omega 256 Gets 4 Nods at the East Africa Entertainment Awards

Ugandan female recording artiste Omega256 has been nominated in 4 categories at the 2025 edition of the East Africa Arts Entertainment Awards. 

The categories in which she has been nominated are Best break through female artiste, Best break through music video, best break through Collaboration, Best Break through Hit Single.

The singer described as the Queen of western Uganda held her debut concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval on 19th, September, 2025 which however registered a low turn of fans and revelers.

The concert came after the release of a brand new hot collaboration with singer Cinderella Sanyu named ‘See you Tonight’, which has become a hit on local radios and Televisions.

Another Ugandan nominated in the awards is Maxxie Kizito commonly known as Maxim GK Steurbaut on social media who has been nominated in the category of Best Male Entrepreneur in East Africa.

He is a businessman, running KUBO Street Fashion, farming ventures, and forex trading he has asked Ugandans to promote and vote for him in these awards stating that it is his first time to be nominated.

“This is for our industry, for Kampala! We have achieved so much, and there’s so much more to come. Let’s win this together,” he said in response to the news of his nomination.

In December, 2018, he launched DNA lounge in Kololo in partnership with singer Jose Chameleone,who used to organize his Leone Island nights there, the business later however collapsed due to management issues.

This time around only two Ugandan entertainers made it to the nomination list as the organizers decided to make the awards global by including international artistes like Chris Brown, Craig David among others.

In 2024 Ugandan R&B singer and songwriter Acidic Vocals won the award of Best Breakthrough Act at an event held in Nairobi, Kenya.
