“I am excited to announce the return of a city celebration, the Kampala City Festival 2025. The launch shall be on 6th August 2025 at City Hall and the Festival date shall be announced on that day. It’s going to be bigger, better, and bolder, “she said in a statement.
She further said the festival is back to celebrate the collective effort and commitment of building a cleaner and organized city for all Ugandans and non Ugandans that live and work there.
“It is not just about fun. It’s about coming together as a city, recognizing how far we’ve come, and renewing our collective commitment to building a cleaner and more liveable Kampala,” she added.
The festival was established to celebrate culture, unity and provides immense networking opportunities for businesses, individuals and service providers that include artistes, food vendors, and transporters among others
Introduced by ex-ED Jenifer Musisi, the Festival was deemed to be one of the biggest street festivals in East Africa but was put on hold on hold in 2018 until further notice.
