Joshua Baraka Lays Claim to 15 Million Streams for Wrong Places

According to Ugandan singer Joshua Baraka his latest song wrong places has hit 15 million streams on major music streaming platforms.

He said the streams came from platforms like spotify, apple music, YouTube among others.

This is one of the milestone’s he has achieved following his performance at the Afro Nation Afro Beats Festival in Portugal in July,2027.

The singer said that the song became a global hit because of its quality production from London based music producer Jae5 real name Kweku Awote-Mensah.

In his previous interviews Baraka said Jae5 charged him £25,000 (about Shs 121 million) to produce the song.

He however disclosed that he didn’t have pay the full amount because Jae5 allowed to work for him on a discount .

Jae5 is a Grammy Award-winning music producer affiliated with Black Butter Records.

Jae5 spent his early years in London before relocating to Ghana with his siblings between the ages of nine and twelve and when he returned to the UK, he enrolled in APE Media, where he honed his skills in music production and audio engineering.

Jae5’s subsequent credits include productions for Burna Boy (Sekkle Down and Calm Down) and collaborations with Geko, Shakka, Mr Eazi, Rudimental, and Young T & Bugsey.
