Human Remains Recovered in Buloba Swamp

A box containing human remains has been recovered in Buloba swamp. 

Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, Patrick Onyango, said that William Musoke, a bricklayer, spotted the wooden box along Manja-Muzinda road in the Buloba swamp on Thursday and reported it to the police.  

A report by the team of police officers who visited the scene indicated that it was a gruesome murder. 

The Nsangi Police Division took the remains to the city mortuary for post-mortem examination as efforts are being made to identify the deceased.

Onyango said the Nsangi Police Division has since launched investigations to uncover the circumstances surrounding the murder. “We are appealing to the public, particularly those who have a missing family member or know someone who might be unaccounted for, to visit Mulago City Mortuary. Onyango noted.  

Police said the identification of the victim would be a critical step in understanding the circumstances of the case and potentially locating suspects or persons connected to the incident.
