Ann Kansiime Opens Up about Break up with Boyfriend Skylanta

Comedian Ann Kansiime has publically addressed issues surrounding her breakup with boyfriend Skylanta.

In a live television morning interview on Friday 14^th, March, 2025, Kansiime said that she had to break up with Skylanta because there was no need for their relationship to continue without having a clear purpose

“The deep romantic connection we had once had faded after we got a son. When the son came in, I lost interest in him and focused more on the child. This made me change and grow into a different person and I expected him to do the same. It was a difficult decision but in the end, we chose to separate and embrace co-parenting,”

she further said that breaking up with her boyfriend wasn’t as painful as losing her mother because she had done a lot to make her life enjoyable.

“ When I got my first big gig as a comedian, I built my late mother a house and later another house for myself because I like staying home most of the time as most of the skits and videos that I do are done from my home. This is the reason why I invest a lot in having a clean house,” she said.

She praised him for enabling her to get a child after a long struggle of trying to get pregnant for a long time in vain.

“ I took a lot of time in trying to get a child because I had reproductive health issues that couldn’t allow me to conceive. My boyfriend thought I wasn’t interested in having children but these complications delayed my pregnancy but later I got it and had a child with him,” she said.

She said most of the things she does in real life were as a result of her mother’s character that she copied from her while growing up.

“My mother was a drama actor and she’s the one that inspired me to be an actress. I used to like the way she would quarrel with us and the neighbors. This made me learn a lot of things about how women behave while at home and it’s the reason why I do a lot of skits while quarreling like her,” she added.

Kansiime will be holding a comedy show on 10^th, May, 2025 at Serena Hotel in Kampala which she named the Comedy Grill Edition.
