Jowy Landa Seeks Gen. Salim Saleh’s Aid for Brother’s Treatment Amid Career Challenges

Singer Joan Namugerwa, widely known as Jowy Landa, has made a public appeal to Gen. Salim Saleh, alias Caleb Akandwanaho, for financial assistance to cover her brother’s mounting medical expenses.
 
 The singer revealed that her brother has been hospitalized for five months after sustaining severe injuries during a fight with friends, leaving him bedridden and unable to move.
 
According to Jowy Landa, her brother’s treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) costs approximately Shs 1 million per day, a financial strain she struggles to manage as her family’s sole breadwinner.
 
“His condition has been heartbreaking, and the hospital bills have become overwhelming. I humbly request Gen. Salim Saleh to assist me during this difficult time,” she pleaded.
 
The situation has further impacted her career, as she confirmed her decision to part ways with Team No Sleep (TNS), managed by Jeff Kiwa. Despite producing several hit songs under TNS, Jowy Landa cited personal struggles and mounting responsibilities as reasons for leaving the label.
 
“I still have respect for Jeff Kiwa, but the challenges I am facing forced me to make this tough decision,” she said.
 
Reports indicate that Jowy Landa is now focusing on managing her family’s crisis and reassessing her career trajectory. 
 
Her brother’s prolonged hospitalization and her departure from TNS highlight the financial and emotional toll her family’s situation has taken on her.
