Renowned kickboxer Moses Golola has highlighted the physical and mental demands of kickboxing, emphasizing its role in improving fitness and discipline.
Speaking about the upcoming celebrity kickboxing match between musicians Grenade and Rickman, Golola advised the two entertainers to take the sport seriously and commit to rigorous training.
“Kickboxing helps people in one way or another; it takes them back to fitness,” Golola said. Citing an example, he revealed that media personality Kazoora reduced his weight from 100kg to 91kg within weeks of training.
Addressing Grenade and Rickman directly, Golola issued a word of caution. “Kickboxing is not a joke. Rickman, do a lot of training. Grenade, you are small in size, and Rickman is always on the football pitch. I am scared you might be knocked down,” he remarked.
The celebrity match has generated excitement among fans, but Golola’s comments underscore the importance of preparation, even for entertainment bouts.
He reiterated that kickboxing demands discipline and resilience, qualities he has championed throughout his career.
