Kabojja Teacher Accused of Attempted Sodomy Slapped with Additional Charge

Prosecution has slapped another charge against a 43-year-old Kabojja Junior School teacher accused of attempting to sodomise his pupil during  a school trip.

Appearing before the Buganda Road Court Chief Magistrate,  Geoffrey Muhumuza has been charged fresh with indecent Assaut after prosecution amended the chargesheet to include as a second count.

Muwumuza  however denied the the new  charge before chief magistrate Ronald Kayizzi. 

Court documents indicate that while the pupils were returning from the school trip, Muwumuza who was travelling with them in the same bus  reportedly felt a sexual urge and sought to act on it by  allegedly asking  the minor to assist him with a torch, and in the process of handing it to him, the teacher grabbed the boy’s hand and forced it toward his genitals, initiating a sexual act. 

That even when the minor switched positions, Muhumuza followed him and persisted in performing  his indecent touches. 

Muhumuza has been remanded back to Luzira prison until next month when. he will return to court for bail and trial.
