The highly anticipated Vumbula Uganda Festival is making a grand return, supported by Stanbic Bank Uganda as the platinum sponsor. This 3-day extravaganza, slated from May 31st to June 3rd at the scenic Nile Nest resort in Jinja, promises to be bigger and better than ever before.
At a recent press conference held at Next Media Park, Israel Arinaitwe, Head of Personal Banking at Stanbic Bank, emphasized the bank’s commitment to the event, highlighting exclusive discounts through their digital payment platform, FlexiPay. Arinaitwe noted, “Stanbic Bank, through FlexiPay, is proud to be the official digital payment platform, offering exclusive discounts on various items including tickets for the event.”
In addition to discounted tickets, attendees can expect general discounts on selected snacks, drinks, and daily happy hour sessions, courtesy of Stanbic Bank. Arinaitwe emphasized the bank’s dedication to giving back to its customers while celebrating Uganda’s rich diversity, particularly among the youth.
Akullo Jean Coprise, Chief Communications Officer of Vumbula Uganda, shared insights into the festival’s theme, ‘Unearthing the Pearl’, promising an unforgettable celebration of Ugandan culture. This year’s edition aims to highlight Uganda’s natural wonders and unique attractions, with a special focus on environmental conservation.
Coprise revealed plans to transform the festival grounds into a vibrant hub of creativity, with tree planting exercises, tourism exhibitions, and showcases of the country’s cultural heritage. She emphasized, “One of the most important things we are proud about as Vumbula, is that we have never disappointed our revelers.”
The festival boasts support from various sponsors, including Nile Special, Humura/Hanze Tours, Wild Crane, the Ministry of Tourism, Pepsi, and Airtel Uganda, among others. With over 200 acts spread across two stages, attendees can anticipate an immersive experience celebrating the best of Uganda’s art, music, and cuisine. Vumbula Uganda Festival continues to be a premier platform for showcasing diverse talent and fostering national pride.
