Link Bus company has suspended its daily travels for 3 days to mourn with the families of the people who perished in yesterday’s accident which left over 20 lives lost.
Yesterday a bus attached to Link Bus Services, reg. No. UBA 003S, with over 40 people on board veered off the road near Fort portal City along Kampala- Kasese Highway overturned and killed 20 people on spot, out of whom thirteen were adults while 7 are juveniles.
Tom Alinde the Link Bus spokesperson told the press this morning that suspending their travels means they will have time to mourn as well as inspect the situation of injured people plus those who lost their properties such that they cater for everyone.
Alinde adds its humans to work when their customers got problems and shows a bad image and have requested passengers who always use link buses to opt for other means in case, they have emergency travellers. If not, they can wait until Sunday.
He has disclosed that after three days of suspension management will call an emergency meeting of all link bus staff for the way forward and if needed refreshment courses to drivers.
