The China Communication and Construction Company (CCCC) has rejected claims that most of the employees working at the on going new cargo centre at Entebbe Airport are Chinese.
The Country Director China Communication and Construction Company Joseph Biao said that 1000 workers used on this project are Ugandans and only 90 are Chinese.
Mr. Biao says that much as most of the labour was recruited from Uganda, the company has trained local engineers to be ready to work on similar projects in the future adding that the country has more room for improvement of the aviation industry to compete fairly with countries in the region.
He adds they imparted skills in Ugandans to the extent that when the Chinese leave they can take on this work of building cargo centers and passenger terminals at the airport.
