A speeding vehicle has knocked dead a traffic policeman and injured another critically at Kampiringisa traffic police checkpoint in Kammengo Sub County Mpigi district.
The deceased has been identified as police constable Alex Kakose while the injured is Elias Asaya. Both the deceased and injured police officers are attached to Kammengo police station.
Lydia Tushabe, the Katonga Region police spokesperson, says that duo was knocked this morning by a Toyota Harrier Registration number UAX 542N being driven by 61-year-old Charles Tuhimbise.
