Trade advocates in Uganda are calling for the strengthening of regional integration institutions so as to address trade disputes between member countries.

Addressing a joint news conference in Kampala, Jane Nalunga the executive director SEATINI Uganda together with Food rights alliance executive director, Agnes Kirabo, cite the need to for consultations involving concerned states and the relevant organs of EAC with a view of arriving at an amicable solution in the spirit of regional integration.

Nalunga further mentions the Rwanda-Uganda border closure which has lasted for over two years now saying such drastic measure are not promoting the regional integration spirit hence the need to have the regional institution to always take full control of such matters before member states take independent moves.
