From dubbing music onto his mother’s soul music records (and in the process ruining some of her timeless collection) with his own influences, to speaking into a comb trying to imitate being a radio jock like his radio idol Howard Stern, to even trying to rap, the media bug bit Keith quite early in his life. It just took him quite some time to acknowledge that he could shed all his inhibitions and have fun while behind the microphone on the radio.
That moment came in 2011 when he walked into Sanyu FM (2000) LTD and he gave radio a go. By his own admission, “It’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.”
He’s into everything Rap/ Hip-Hop and doesn’t hesitate to fact check whoever half-steps on the correct Hip-Hop references. (That’s his way of sharing all he’s absorbed listening to rap records and spending his lunch money to cop the latest Source issue as a conflicted youngster on the come-up.)
He’s got his finger on the pulse of the RnB and Hip-Hop culture, as he crisscrosses from premiering the latest hot songs daily, to drawing on his life through the best throwbacks on Saturdays.
When he’s away from kicking butt and taking names on the radio, he’s a fulltime Software Engineer tearing into anything to do with code in full nerd mode.
Catch him daily on “The Homestretch” and “The Hot 8@8”, Mon – Fri from 7 p.m. through 9 p.m. Then again on Saturdays with “The Hits Replay” from 11 a.m. through 2 p.m.
