After 39 years of shattered hopes, the Uganda Cranes have finally qualified to take Uganda to the Africa Cup of Nations competition!

It has been a rocky road to say the least. From being dropped at the last minute due to some obscure tecnicality announced by CAF, to the sheer amount of pessimism from various corners of society, it's been one heck of a journey!

Few things have brought Ugandans together in such a collective, patriotic spirit such as when the Uganda Cranes are playing. Especially on home turf. Sunday afternoon was no exception.

Namboole Stadium was full to the brim. And as one spectator commented, "Comoros won't survive the wall of noise today." And they didn't. Farouk Miya had a superb finish as he sought the back of the net before the 1st half of the game was wrapped up.

The AFCON 2017 tournament is going to be hosted in Gabon. And we expect our boys to kick butt and take names! Godspeed to them.
