UGANDA ADEQUATELY PREPARED TO HANDLE EBOLA
The Minister of Health Jane Ruth Aceng says the country has put in place adequate measures, following an Ebola outbreak in the neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo.
The Minister was responding to Kyaka South MP Jackson Kafuuzi, who raised the matter on the floor of Parliament, demanding to know how government was prepared to handle the outbreak.
Minister Aceng said a rapid response team has been sent to five districts neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo and they have also trained district officials on how to manage the disease.
Aceng further reveals that they have also set up screening centers and every one coming into the country will be screened for signs and symptoms of Ebola.
