Police Registers Over 2000 Traffic Offenses in 2 Weeks

Police has fined 2153 in the last 2 weeks in the re-awakened operation FIKA SALAAMA.

Speaking to Journalists at Police headquarters in Naguru, Police Spokesperson Asana Kasingye said they have tightened their operation to reduce road carnage.

Last week alone over 15 people died in various road accidents across the country.

In the new operation 480 drivers were fined for reckless driving

 450 were fined for driving cars in poor mechanic conditions

430 Drivers were fined for over speeding

145 cases for drving without licenses
