Opposition Launches Tubalemese Campaign
Sections of the Opposition have launched a new campaign called Tubalemese to show their dissatisfaction with the resent Presidential ASSENT to the Constitutional Amendment No-2 Bill
Led by Opposition Stalwart Kizza Besigye and Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago, the Leaders say they have planned a raft of activities and have called on Ugandans join them in condemning and taking action against what they term as the rape of the Ugandan Constitution.
Under ‘Tubalemese campaign’, Opposition say they will boycott companies run and owned by the ruling party members.
Dr Besigye says he will swear in the members of his ‘People's government’ as one of the activities to disable the ruling regime after the presidential age limit was passed into an Act of Parliament by President Museveni.
During the Press Conference Kizza Besigye warned Ugandans of tougher times and cited the need to brace themselves for harsh times consistent with high prices and inflation, because of what he termed as the collapse of the economy.
He decried Uganda's inability to meet its needs and called the upcoming Budget for the FY 2018/2019 non-functionary
