KASIANO WADRI SUPPORTERS TO BLAME FOR ARUA VIOLENCE - POLICE
Police are blaming the death of Yasin Kawuma, the driver of Kyadondo East MP, Robert Kyagulanyi on supporters of Kasiano Wadri, the independent candidate for the Arua Municipality MP seat.
Kawuma was shot dead last evening around Hotel Pacific in Arua town.
Police Spokesperson, Emilian Kayima, says people dressed in Wadri's campaign t-shirts began pelting the President's convoy with stones, forcing security to intervene.

Meanwhile, UPDF Special Forces have sealed off Hotel Pacific in Arua town, the campaign headquarters of the Kasiano Wadri camp.
Reports on the ground indicate that Adumi road, where the hotel is located has also been blocked by armed personnel.
Business around the area is paralyzed.
The whereabouts of Kassiano Wadri and Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi remain unknown.
Police in Arua have arrested over 30 people in connection with yesterday's events in Arua.
West Nile Region Police Spokesperson Josephine Angucia says investigations are underway to establish circumstances under which Kawuma was killed.
She says among those arrested are several Members of Parliament who were in the procession that was involved in the chaos that erupted, as candidates in the Arua Municipality Parliamentary by-elections wound up their campaigns.
The Chaos is reported to have erupted, shortly after independent candidate Kasiano Wadri and Bobi Wine who is on Wadri's campaign team, left their last campaign rally at Arua prisons on foot.
They are reported to have encoutered supporters of the NRM Party Candidate Nusura Tiperu, who were also leaving her rally at Arua hill grounds where President Museveni had just addressed them, leading to a confrontation.
Reports also suggest that an unidentified number of people were also shot dead, while others sustained gunshot injuries.
A number of high profile politicians including President Yoweri Museveni were in Arua Municipality yesterday, campaigning for their party flag bearers, in the race to replace slain MP Ibrahim Abiriga.
The elections are scheduled for tomorrow Wednesday 15th August 2018.
