Deputy Speaker Defends Miss Curvy Competition
The deputy speaker of parliament Jacob Oulanya say there is nothing wrong using curvy women to promote tourism of the country.
Oulanya was responding to a concern raised by Budaka woman mp also chairperson Uganda women parliamentary association Pamela Kamugo who complained over an act of using women bodies as tourists attraction.
Although a number of people have come out to attack the state minister for tourism of launching the curvy beauty pageant, Oulanya say that he has witnessed a number of international beauty competitions which are organized with intention of allowing people appreciate the uniqueness of female sex. The deputy speaker was supported by members such as Okupa Elijah and ssemujju Nganda who said that women should not be discriminated because of their size to participate in beauty pageants.
